Compact, comfortable and strong on dust
Macro describes the M40 as its latest-generation road sweeper, designed for comfort, ease of use, safety and manoeuvrability. A solid frame and a filtered mechanical suction system suit it to conditions from tree-lined streets to industrial sites.
The 4 m³ hopper and compact dimensions are aimed at city centres and industrial plants. Four-wheel steering keeps a clean track without dirt lines, even in tight turns.
The cabin is insulated against temperature, noise, vibration and dust for long shifts. Physical buttons, an EASY START button and a job selector keep the controls simple, and the on-board diagnostics report faults, including ones the operator may not notice.

Filtered mechanical suction, step by step
Side and Central Brushes
The side brushes and the central brush sweep the dirt in by mechanical action.
Vertical Conveyor
A vertical conveyor lifts the waste into the hopper. It has reverse rotation and anti-clog crowns.
Suction
Suction captures the dust as soon as it is raised from the ground.
Large surface filter
A 20 m² filter with a hydraulic shaker is used for dust suppression.

Third Front Brush
Extends beyond the machine to widen the track from 2,500 to 3,200 mm, to clear parked cars, walls and guard-rails. Controlled by the armrest joystick. It also cleans the left side of one-way streets.
High Dump
A pantograph lifts the hopper for fixed containers and compactors. Dump at any height from 1,050 to 2,100 mm.
Side Brush Skirts
Skirts contain the dust for dry work in cement plants, mines and construction sites. Quick-opening covers for inspection.
Water System, 400 L
A stainless steel tank for dust suppression. It also feeds the high-pressure hose.
High-pressure Hose
A 15 m hose reel, used on both sides, for washing walls, pavements, urban furniture and the machine.
Debris Suction Hose
A 6 m, 140 mm hose for hard-to-reach places. Works dry on dusty material.
Conveyor Lifting
Raises the conveyor to clear bumps, protect the seals and ease leaf collection.
Sanifog Atomiser
Two rear swivel turbines spray disinfectant or insecticide on roads and hedges. An ozone generator is optional.
Centralized Greasing
Greases moving parts automatically to limit abrasive dust build-up.
Rear Steering Lock
Locks the rear-wheel steering for long transfers. Controlled from the cabin.
External Disc Brakes
Axles with external disc brakes and double gripper, instead of the standard oil-bath multi-disc brakes.
Left-hand Drive
The driver sits on the right as standard. Left-hand drive is available.
